The machine was originally used for grinding the bores of bearing rings.

After the overhaul, the machine is used for:

1. Grinding the bores of bearing rings;
2. Bore grinding with the capability to perform oscillations with adjustable amplitude and frequency from the control panel, variable between roughing and finishing;
3. Possibility of producing grinding wheels with spherical profiles through interpolation of the two axes;
4. Ability to grind grooves and thrust surfaces;
5. Wheel dressing using a diamond disk, driven by an electric motor or, upon request, a hydraulic motor.
